What TidyStamp does
TidyStamp helps short-term rental operators, cleaners and property owners verify cleaning turnovers with photo-backed checklists. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the TidyStamp mobile app, this website and the owner report pages at tidystamp.com.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address and, for cleaners, a phone number if the operator invites you by SMS or WhatsApp. Sign-in uses a one-time link or code, or Sign in with Apple / Google; we never see or store a password.
- Property information: property names, addresses, access notes and the checklist for each property.
- Turnover records: checklist ticks, flags, notes, timings and review decisions.
- Photos and their stamps: photos taken inside the app for photo-required items, together with the capture time, the device location at the moment of capture (with accuracy), a cryptographic hash of the file, the device model and app version. Photos cannot be chosen from your gallery.
- Booking calendar data: check-out and check-in times from Airbnb, VRBO or Booking.com calendar feeds (iCal) that an operator connects. Guest names in those feeds are hidden from cleaners by default.
- Device and diagnostics: push notification token, operating system version, crash and error reports.
- Subscription status: whether an operator account has an active plan, provided by Apple or Google through RevenueCat. We do not receive card numbers.
- Waitlist sign-ups: if you join the early access list on this website, your email address, your role and how many properties you manage. We use it only to contact you about TidyStamp access.
Why we use it
- To run the service: scheduling turnovers, syncing checklists between devices, producing owner reports.
- To make photos trustworthy: the time, location and hash stamped on a photo are what prove it was taken at the property during the turnover.
- To notify you: assignments, late starts, flags and submitted turnovers by push notification.
- To keep the app working offline and fix problems: diagnostics are used only to find and resolve errors.
- To bill operators through the App Store or Google Play.
We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use your data to train advertising profiles.
Who can see what
- Operators see everything in their own account, including cleaners' photos and timings for their properties.
- Cleaners see only the properties they are assigned to and their own work.
- Owners who receive a report link see the turnover history for that one property. Operators choose whether cleaner names are shown and can revoke a link at any time.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run TidyStamp. Each processes data only on our instructions.
- Supabase (database, authentication, scheduled jobs): account, property, turnover and waitlist records.
- Cloudflare R2 (file storage): photos and PDF reports, stored encrypted at rest.
- RevenueCat, Apple App Store and Google Play: subscription status and receipts.
- Expo push notification service, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivery of notifications.
- Resend: sign-in and waitlist emails.
- Sentry: crash and error reports.
Device permissions
- Camera: required to take photo-required checklist photos. The app never reads your photo library.
- Location (while using the app): recorded once per photo to stamp where it was taken. We do not track your location in the background.
- Notifications: optional; used only for turnover events, never for marketing.
Retention and deletion
Photos and reports are kept for the retention period of the operator's plan (6, 12 or 24 months) and then deleted automatically. Turnover records are kept while the account exists. Diagnostics are kept for 90 days. Waitlist sign-ups are deleted once you have an account, or on request.
You can delete your account from the app under More → Account → Delete account, or by emailing support@tidystamp.com. Deleting an operator account removes its properties, turnovers, photos and reports within 30 days. Deleting a cleaner account removes your profile; photos you took remain part of the operator's records, with your name removed, because they are evidence of work performed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@tidystamp.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Photos are stored privately and served only through short-lived signed links. Access to data is controlled by per-row permissions in our database, so cleaners, operators and owners can only reach the records described above.
Children
TidyStamp is a work tool for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the effective date. For material changes we will notify operators in the app.
